General questions

No, The Main Ticket is a ticketing platform used by many event producers. We do produce some of our own events as well, and for those events we are listed as the event producer on the event description page. Any event listing that shows a different event producer is the sole responsibility of that person or organization listed.

The Main Ticket does not currently offer a way to resell tickets on our site, but we have no restrictions against you selling your paid tickets to another party unless the event description page specifically states that ticket transfers are not allowed.

The only tickets that cannot be “resold”, regardless of who the event producer is, are tickets you received for free on our site.  People found to be selling or trading tickets that they or another person acquired for free on our site in exchange for any kind of gain, monetary or otherwise, can face consequences ranging from being permanently banned for our website up to litigation for the value of the tickets.  For full details, please read our terms and conditions which you agree to abide by simply by using our site.

For any incidences – good or bad – that take place at an event you bought tickets for on this site should be reported to the event producer directly. The event producer is listed on the event description page. If The Main Ticket is listed as the event producer, please send your report via email to support@themainticket.com.

If an event as an age limit or has any other entrance restrictions, that information should be listed on the event description page under “General information”. There are times, however, that event producer forgets to include that information. If you are unsure and can’t find the information you need, please feel free to contact the event producer directly or use our contact form and we can follow up with them and then get back to you.

Even though The Main Ticket lists a lot of “All Ages” events where infants, toddlers, and/or pre-teens may enter for free, NO, this rule does NOT apply to every event. It is up to the event producer whether or not they will charge an entrance fee for minors. If entry is free or discounted for any age group, it will be listed on the event description page. Unless it is stated specifically on the event description page, you should expect to pay an entrance fee for any children accompanying you.

About Refunds

Generally speaking, we do NOT offer refunds for any tickets purchased on our site even if you did not attend the event. Refunds or partial refunds are only offered in limited situations and at the discretion of the event producers themselves. These situations can include cases where the event has been canceled or one of the headliners has canceled, but The Main Ticket makes no guarantees of refunds in these cases.

Please read any refund policies listed on the individual event description page before deciding to purchase your tickets.

The Main Ticket does not currently offer a way to resell tickets on our site, but we have no restrictions against you selling your paid tickets to another party unless it is specifically stated on the event description page that ticket transfers are not allowed.

The only tickets that cannot be sold after they were acquired on our site, are tickets that were received for free. Please read our terms & conditions page for additional information.

In the case of an event being cancelled, it is up to the event producer to decide whether they will issue refunds or simply reschedule the event for a future date. If the event is rescheduled, your tickets will still be valid and we will notify you of the new date. If the event producer decides to issue refunds, they will notify us to proceed with refunds for any tickets purchased on our site. Feel free to reach out to the event producer directly for any questions about if and when to expect a refund for a canceled event.

For performer cancellations, it is up to each event producer to decide whether the will issue no, partial or complete refunds. We will notify ticket purchasers as soon as the event producer notifies us.

For events produced by The Main Ticket, if the performance cancellation is of one of the main headliners, as long as regulations and contractual obligations allow it, we will normally offer a choice between a complete or partial refund. A complete refund invalidates any tickets, so you will not be able to use them to enter the event. A partial refund, which reimburses you just a portion of your ticket price, keeps your tickets valid so you can still use them to attend the event. In cases where partial refunds are not allowed, we may offer an alternative form of compensation of equal value, such as tickets to another one of our events, but this is on a case-by-case basis.

Sponsors, Partners & Media

YES. For most, if not all, events listed on our site there are sponsorship or partnership opportunities available. If you are interested in a single event, feel free to reach out to the event producer directly. If you are looking for something ongoing, please email, call, or fill out our contact form and we can get you set up with turn-key opportunities on an ongoing basis.

Free access to events for media is at the sole discretion of each event producer. Please reach out directly to the event producer listed on the event description page of the event you are interested in covering for information on gaining access.

If you would like to gain media access to one of the events produced by The Main Ticket, please use the contact form on our contact page to make your request at least three business days prior to the date of the event. When making your request, please include the name of the media outlet you represent, the full names and titles for any and all persons you are requesting access for (up to three staff members), and the nature of the coverage your are seeking. Including a link to your media outlet’s online presence, such as the company’s website, is not required but may speed up the approval process. Someone will get back to you with any special instructions if your request is approved, but we do not make any guarantees of approval for any requests, even if it is a valid one. Approvals will depend on agreements made with performers and the hosting venue  as well as the quantity of requests received for any particular event. Any requests made less than three business days prior the event will be denied.

We allow up to three media staff members per media outlet, but all must be credentialed and integral to the production of your coverage. This is to accommodate for any necessary production staff such as a camera and/or sound operator. Companions who play NO ROLE in the production of your coverage are NOT PERMITTED, so please refrain from bringing friends and/or family along if you are there to cover the event, as you will all be asked to leave immediately in these cases. Access will only be granted to certain areas of the event as designated when and if your request is approved and all staff members should wear their media credentials at all times while on-site.
